Mites come out at night, get on the birds and feed off them by sucking their blood. They breed very fast and soon drag the birds’ health down. It’s not hard to keep them at bay: use Total Mite Kill Powder once a week. When you change the bedding, sprinkle some Powder around the edges and inside the nest box, before putting in the fresh bedding.

Total Mite Kill Aerosol:Spray your coop with Total mite kill Aerosol every month, this should kill and protect from Red Mite.

Vit Boost: Minerals and Vitamins: There will not be all the vitamins and minerals your birds need on the piece of ground that you put them on and it is important to provide a supplement to make sure they are getting a good balance. In your Starter Kit you will find Vit Boost. Put 5 ml in 4.5ltr of water (in a medium size drinker) once a week.

Total mite Liquid:Cleaning the coop and run: Once a month, take the hosepipe out and clean your house thoroughly. Then give it a good spray of Total mite Liquid disinfectant spray. Spray the whole coop (roosting bars, walls, roof, …).This will clean and disinfect your house, leaving a sparkling, bacteria and viruses free house for your chicken to enjoy.

Ground Sanitiser:Use the sanitizing powder once in a while to keep the ground clear of worm eggs in the run.

Gut Conditioner:Last but not least is keeping worms down: We have put a product in the kit called a Gut Conditioner (not a great name, I know). This creates a environment in the gut that worms do not like to live in. If your birds are not roaming from field to field, the worm build up will be more concentrated. Birds full of worms will not be healthy birds, so you want to keep the worms down. This is easy to do: Its one pump per bird (it has a pump on the top) into their water 3 days in a row, once a month. They will all have a drink so they will all get some. It is organic so you can carry on eating the eggs while you are treating them.

TO SUM UP

Use Total Mite Powder once a week in the coop.

Use Total Mite Kill Aerosol once a month in the coop.

Put Vit Boost in the water once a week.

Total Mite Liquid Use once a month.
